when kelly (the glamorai) posted these photos, i was amazed and instantly blown away by the stunning colours and richness of the photo shoot and her styling.

of course, one can't help but think of the original woman behind the look... miss frida herself!

 and i can't help but feel inspired to pull together a style cuddle version to achieve the look... bold earrings + a hair band are essential.

it's been raining a lot this month, may showers bring june...?  it's memorial day weekend and the weather for nyc looks iffy! i'm still gonna head out to the beach, for me it's nice to get out of town. even if it's raining, i picked up some dylan thomas and newest jalouse to read, so i'm happy.

one of my favourite movies growing up was calamity jane. i remember my mum and i would watch it over & over again in our london flat. i would dream that one day i too would be a cowgal out west. these days, the closest i get to my childhood western dream is grabbing a frozen margarita at cowgirl on hudson st and listening to a tim mcgraw song. 

but when i saw this pussy bow shirt, i felt my inner jane pitter patter! 

(i also stumbled on this free people vintage fringe jacket, but for nyc i think it might be a bit much...)

glitter & gold

if you know me well, i cannot leave the house without something sparkly. and you know, i'm more than okay with that. for today's post, i found myself inspired by this fun look (found on tumblr). i think the skirt is this american apparel number, but it only comes in one size and it's a tad too big for me (#fashiongirlproblems, anyone?).

so to get this look i'm going after this topshop prom dress & how splendid are these ban.do accessories? it's the queen's jubilee so a tiara is utterly appropriate this season. style cuddle says so (winky face!). throw on a vintage blazer (the best kind!) to complete the look. i recommend searching on etsy to find something, like this or this.

when i was little i'd watch fred astaire and ginger rogers movies on repeat and pretend in the playground i knew all the right steps. now with the capped toe trend in footwear, here's to dreaming like a kid again!
