currently cuddling: skirting the issue

this autumn/ winter i am seriously cuddling the dainty, flowy midi-skirt combo with an oversized chunky knit. here are my style cuddling tips for nailing this awesome autumn trend.

ok call me boring but i love, love, love marks & spencer's sweaters.  for you yanks, marks & spencers (or as the brits call it "m&s") is a staple for food, clothes & a few household items. i can't think of a usa equivalent (maybe a little bit like an upscale target?).  anyways. i digress.  as i was saying, i love m&s sweaters. the quality is amazing, you can machine wash them & the price point is super accessible. so when i was in the uk a few weeks ago i just couldn't get enough! well actually, i was pretty limited with space in my already oversized suitcase but you get the point.  i also just discovered they ship to the usa for free so i'm quite delighted to know i can get a fix whenever i want.

shown: the heart sweater is one of my little purchases & i picked up another sweater very similar to that adorable pointelle one shown.  & for 50 bucks, the black topshop tuille skirt makes a lust a must & you know me, i can never say no to polka dots or stripes so this midi skirt is definitely on my wishlist! accessorizing tips: this look definitely looks good with a heel! i'd go for a simple pump.

tuesday night i was invited to the express #denimlabevent at the ace hotel. what a fun party! there was a diy table to customize your denim... a photobooth where me and justin pulled a few crazy faces... there were djs and even a psychic using an ipad!?  plus a candy bar for a sugar rush.... oh, i had one too many gummy bears & one too many killer margaritas... & of course there was some pretty awesome company that all made for a great time.  added bonus?  i even walked away with a pair of boyfriend-style jeans - a spring trend i've been wanting to try!

cuddling up to the prabal gurung x target

i gotta admit, i am super stoked for the prabal gurung collab with target. i love how this collection is so bright and colorful (though i did kinda like this leather number i saw at his preview party with icb in the summer).  but the prabal gurung for target collection is much more me and the prices amazing. it's gonna be available on feb. 10 & here are some of the looks i am totally cuddling on.

i am so excited to share with you one of my favorite brooklyn stores: dry goods! just down the road from my apartment in brooklyn, i discovered this small, enchanting store the day i moved into my place in february. i think it stayed in the store almost an hour talking to the lovely store owner carla.  she travels across europe bringing back little treasures to sell in store, but now dry goods is online! they just launched a new e-commerce site this week - in time for some last minute holiday shopping.  here are some of my picks, perfect pressies for him, her or for yourself.
